During Aarhus University's climate conference Beyond Kyoto (March 5–7, 2009), citizens of Aarhus showed their support for large-scale climate action through Climate on the Wall - an interactive installation that transformed Ridehuset, a prominent city-center building, into a dynamic backdrop for climate statements.
The installation used camera tracking on the sidewalk in front of Ridehuset to detect movement. Projectors displayed climate-related words on the building’s façade, and passers-by could interact with these words by moving in front of the building. Through this interaction, they combined words into sentences, creating personal statements about climate issues.
Climate on the Wall was produced by Digital Urban Living in collaboration with CAVI.
